Researchers from Aberystwyth University are conducting a survey into Farm and Rural Crime. The study is funded by a Local Policy and Innovation Partnership (LPIP) grant and is being conducted in collaboration with the four Welsh Police Forces. Following on from the successful survey of rural policing and wildlife crime undertaken in 2017, 2019 and 2022, the current survey aims to capture progress made in addressing key issues on community perceptions of farm and rural crime. This survey will revisit the main issues raised in previous surveys to assess effectiveness of interventions and opinions of stakeholders. It is anticipated that the findings will inform farmers, police, rural communities as well as producing academic publications.
