On the 10th April 2024 approval was given for a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) for Dog Controls in Monmouthshire. This new Order will apply in Monmouthshire for a 3 year period, from the 1st June 2024 to the 31st May 2027. This follows an extensive review and consultation which was completed in 2023. Monmouthshire County Council has informed the community council of two temporary path orders closing various public footpath bridges in and around the community of Whitecastle. These orders include 14 footpaths, 9 of which are in the WCC area. The bridges have been closed on the grounds of public safety. Unfortunately, the county council is not able to state when the bridges will be replaced or repaired as this will be determined on an individual basis as need and resources dictate. Read More...
