Following a review of speed limits in residential areas throughout Monmouthshire, the county council has been identified that the areas of Maypole and St Maughans meet the criteria for a 20mph speed limit in line with Welsh Government guidance. Footpath Closures

Monmouthshire County Council has informed the community council of two temporary path orders closing various public footpath bridges in and around the community of Whitecastle. These orders include 14 footpaths, 9 of which are in the WCC area. The bridges have been closed on the grounds of public safety.
